This is a reprint of Val Andrews controversial biography of Helmut Schreiber, better known as the illusionist Kalanag, who had been a member of the Nazi party and curried favor with Hitler, Goebbels and did Christmas shows for Goering during the Third Reich, when his primary career was as a film producer. After the war he became a successful touring illusionist, but some contend he did so through unethical means. Andrews does not shy away from such allegations and they make for fascinating reading. Also included is a reprint of Richard Hatch's article on "Kalanag and the Vanishing Banknotes" that originally appeared in MAGIC magazine.
